Nomination Rules

Entry Criteria

1. A business must be registered in Botswana with CIPA and BURS.
2. Over 3 years in operation in Botswana.
3. Companies must be in compliance with relevant laws and regulations of government and/or industry regulations in Botswana.
4. Companies can enter a maximum of three categories.
5. Provide a set of financials for the financial period 2023/2024 financial year.
6. Must employ minimum of 15 people.
7. Must have a minimum turnover of  2 million per annum.
8. Proof of number of employees
9. Letter from accountant(s)/auditors
10. A company resolution to enter and participate in the awards.

NB: All registration application must be accompanied by: Cipa Documents, Tax Clerance ,Set of financials for the year 2023/2024, proof of regulatory compliance eg NBFIRA licenses for financial services, BERA license for telecommunications etc.

1. Employee engagement and welfare.
2. Customer satisfaction.
3. Market impact and competitive advantage.
4. CSI(impact on society).

Rules for the BBA

Please read these carefully.

1. No company may register or enter for more than three awards on substantially the same basis. BBA will discard entries for multiple awards which broadly replicate other entries.
2. In the event that there are no qualified entries in a particular category, The BBA Awarding Board reserves the right to shortlist and further select a winner in that category.
3. The finalists for all individual awards must accept their award in person if they are selected as the winner.All entries must be submitted using the Online Entry Process. Entry and supporting materials must be received not later than 31st September 2025. Extensions to this date will Be granted if need be and at the discretion of the judges.
4. Entry may be submitted either directly from a company, from an involved individual and not from a third party. Each entry should include the company’s logo. For screen quality, we require images of 300 dpi or above . Files can be emailed to info@botswanabusinessawards.co.bw.
5. Ajudicators may require supporting materials. Should you choose to send additional materials, please ensure they are supportive of the actual entry. Supporting materials may include brochures, advertisements, photographs and other documents. Please send all supporting materials via email to info@botswanabusinessawards.com
6. Winners will NOT be notified prior to the Botswana Business Awards event; however all entry must be accompanied by the name of the person who will be accepting the award if  the entry is chosen as the winner.
7. All winners are expected to be present and accept their award on stage on the day of the awards ceremony . All information and supporting materials submitted through the BBA Online Entry Process  will be considered and kept confidential and will only be used by BBA and its panel of judges for the purposes of selecting finalists and winners for the 2025 Botswana Business Awards.
8. BBA reserves the right to publish winning entries.
9. By entering this awards the entrants release BBA its owner ,operators, promoters organizers and officers and duly designated representatives operating in their official capacity free from any liability regarding your image free from any liability.
